Sunday Praise

I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth. – Psalm 57:9-11 (NASB)

Blessings That Spur a Fear of the Lord

The blessings that God bestowed on Israel were not for their own enjoyment, rather it was so that other nations would know God and his salvation. As the last verse of the Psalm 67 states, “May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.”

Unified Divisions

When there are divisive issues in the church it can cause the body of Christ to become weak. Separate factions are not as strong as a church unified under the headship of our Lord Jesus Christ. The church becomes more vulnerable to attacks when divisions seek to fight battles on their own without the rest […]

Prayer Journey — Continuum of Care

Sunday Praise

Ascribe to the LORD, O sons of the mighty, Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in holy array. – Psalm 29:1-2 (NASB)

I was treating it almost as a chore, keeping track of how many times I failed to pray or be thankful about something.

Perseverance in God’s Triathlon

Recently I had an opportunity to listen to a briefing for Iron Man competitors the day before the race. This particular race Included more than 70 miles of swimming, biking and running. What I found interesting about the briefing was the detailed route and rules racers were required to follow. Deviating from either would get […]

Prayer Journey — Friendship

I praise you dear God for friends; long-term friends who have walked with us through very difficult times. Their prayers have lifted us up when we have been too weak to raise our hands to you dear Lord. When trials made it difficult to find words to cry out to you dear God, their words […]

Sunday Praise

Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. The earth has yielded its produce; God, our God, blesses us. God blesses us, That all the ends of the earth may fear Him. – Psalm 67:5-7 ((NASB)
