Removing the Filters

Help me to know you better dear God and not through the filters of humanity. Give me a clear understanding of your wisdom, your ways, not the ways determined by people. Give me a clear vision of you, your purity, not the polluted views of humanity. Make me an instrument of your peace and grace. Help me to model you before others, not my sinful ways. Give me a heart for you dear God.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. – Romans 1:20 (NASB)

  1. “Give me a heart for you dear God.” A positive affirmation I will add to my mornings. Thank you once again for a beautiful share. ❤

    1. “This I recall to my mind,
      Therefore I have hope.
      The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
      For His compassions never fail.
      They are new every morning;
      Great is Your faithfulness.”
      – Lamentations 3:21-23 (NASB)
      Blessings.

  2. Your prayer is my prayer also. As soon as we get serious with our prayers the devil will try his best to steer us away from God. I like David analogy also. When we lived remotely overseas the stars were the brightest. Less city lights to steal their glory.

    1. So true. I did some wilderness hiking once and the stars were so amazing — overwhelming. It made me realize how much is hidden by artificial light. Thanks for the comment. Blessings.

  3. Reading your prayer made me think of how hard it is to look at the stars in the city—with lots of light pollution. We must get away from the world’s “light” in order to better experience the LIGHT of God. The two are not compatible.

    🙏❤️ prayers and love.
