And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. – 1 Peter 2:24

Jesus’ death on the cross made it possible for us to die to sin by believing in Him. His wounds made it possible to heal us. His death brought life. His wounds brought healing. He brings salvation to us. Without Jesus, there is eternal death. No healing. No salvation. We die without the hope Jesus brings. He showed us how to live, truly live, by dying to self and sin.
