Morning Praise — Fill Us Oh Lord

This morning God I feel the wind in my hair. It blows forcefully past my face. I hear thunder in the distance. I feel rain falling upon me. A fresh, clean smell fills the air. I praise you God that you fill our senses with your creation. I praise you that you fill us with […]

Morning Praise — A Psalm of Praise

This morning my mind is filled with earthly concerns, yet my heart just wants to praise you dear God. I am drawn to the Psalmist who wrote Psalm 150 so many years ago yet it still rings true today. Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him […]

Morning Praise — Artistic License

It was like no piece of art I had ever seen. Golden hues of yellow, orange and red masterfully blended to create a sunset with a brilliance beyond compare. Like silky smooth honey flowing off a sky blue plate, the colors of the setting sun flowed into the water turning it from deep blue to […]

Morning Praise – A Whisper of Praise

In the quiet of the morning, there is a song on my lips. The words flow gently from my mind, emerging as a soft, fragrant sound of praise to you dear Lord. I praise you for the voice to praise you and the mind that gives me the words. Yet I know you know my […]

Morning Praise — God’s Prized Possession

Today oh Lord I think of your loving care for us. No matter how ill we feel or discouraged we may be, you are there with a gentle arm around us, holding us ever so carefully. You cradle us in your hand like a fragile piece of fine china. You value us more than anything […]

Morning Praise — God’s Artistry

In the most intricate details of nature, I see the hand of our creator God. I see the rhythm of your order in the rising and setting of the sun and the phases of the moon at night. I see the creek water gently flowing, gently nudged by your hand. I see the minute detail […]

Morning Praise — A Child of God

This morning Lord I seek purpose. My heart is heavy. This world continues to frustrate me. Help me Lord to seek you, to sing you praises in the midst of my sorrow and hurt. Help me to remember Jesus knows our pain, felt our pain when he walked the earth. Help us to remember we […]

Morning Praise — The Artist’s Touch

We are your fine artwork dear God. You shaped us with your very hands. We close our eyes and feel your touch upon our face, shaping the lines of our face; our cheekbones, eyes, ears and mouth; our entire body is your handiwork. Like a weaver, you carefully craft a fine tapestry of hair on […]

Prayer Journey — Basking in the Glory of the Lord

As the sun rises this morning I think of how you dear Lord have ordered everything on this earth. From the atom to the universe there is order in your creation. I praise you for the beauty of your creation; the vibrant colors, the smells and the feeling of sand between our toes. All the […]

Morning Praise – Downloading God’s Knowledge

The world is full of knowledge. Megabytes, gigabytes and terabytes of information fill thousands of computer servers across the globe. In the midst of this overwhelming knowledge, I praise you God that you have given us knowledge of yourself. You dear Lord have given us a mind so we can know you and to speak […]
