Morning Praise — God’s Prized Possession

Today oh Lord I think of your loving care for us. No matter how ill we feel or discouraged we may be, you are there with a gentle arm around us, holding us ever so carefully. You cradle us in your hand like a fragile piece of fine china. You value us more than anything on earth. We are your precious creation, your prized possession.

All praise to you this morning dear God. We praise you for your love and grace. We praise you for the gift of salvation that you graciously offer to us. May we embrace your gift and never let anyone tell us we don’t deserve it. May we freely accept your gift and not feel we have to earn it. Praise God that we can rest in your son Jesus. All praise to you dear God, You are worthy of all praise. I rest in the knowledge that my life is in your hands.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)

  1. Thank God for who He is. We are fragile but He Jesus Christ the greatest Potter knows how to handle us and shape us even through fiery trials. We thank God for this salvation given unto us. He saves us from something, protecting us like a precious jewel and shaping us to be His vessel of honor.

  2. “and never let anyone tell us we don’t deserve it.” No, we DON’T deserve it, but He gives us grace anyway, and that’s HIS choice, isn’t it? And nobody else’s business. 😉

    1. God’s grace is amazing. Yes, we don’t deserve it, but yes it is God’s choice to offer it to us. Great point. Too often I listen to the words of others and not the word of God. Thanks for the comment.

  3. ‘never let anyone tell us we don’t deserve it’ – that is a truth many struggle with. Thank you for the encouragement. Love the cup.

    1. That is something I struggle with, even though God tells us we deserve the gift he offers us. As followers of Christ we are God’s children, worthy indeed.
The cup reminds me of springtime 😊

    1. Yes this faith walk in Christ is not a quick fix, it’s a life long character shaping process where Jesus take out the old and bring in the new. He said ‘Behold I make all things new’ I thank God for this privilege of salvation so we can experience who He is and want us to be.
