Prayer Journal–Trust

Trust. Do I trust that you are in all things dear Lord? Can I trust the God of all things, the God who created me in His image for a purpose? Can I trust you dear God are in all things? At times I do not understand, Lord, when I do not see your purpose. Help my unbelief. Give me eyes to see you at work, to know you are present. To know you are in all things, even when I’m confused and unsure. Fill me with your knowledge, your wisdom. Let me not lean on my own understanding. Help me to ignore my own instincts and instead rely on you dear God.

Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief.” – Mark 9:24, NASB

  1. Not leaning on my own understanding means ignoring my instincts (to be self-sufficient). This is a great way to explain trusting in God more than your own instincts. Thank you, Chris. God Bless!
