In 2010 I wrote my first post for this blog. I was hesitant to click the publish button, but I did and thus began my blogging journey. Now, sixteen years and more than one thousand posts later, I have been recognized for that work.
Last week at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writer’s Conference, this blog received a second place Foundation award in the Blogs category. I was humbled by this award since the judges felt only two blogs in this category met the quality standards for an award. I’m grateful for God’s grace, guidance, and the inspiration in His Word for all those posts.
I am also thankful for all the readers who visited this site and shared with me in comments. Over those years, I received thousands of comments where readers shared their faith journey and encouraged me to keep on posting. Together we have walked through the joys and sorrows of life and refreshed each other with living water.

Congratulations, Chris! As I’ve said before, when I started in 2018, your blog provided a template for this newbie Christian blogger. You are remarkably consistent, both with your content and your posting schedule.
