But You are a God of forgiveness, Gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness; And You did not forsake them (Nehemiah 9:17, NASB)
Why do you hold on to me dear God? I would’ve given up on myself years ago, but you still hold me tight; still comfort me and teach me; still care for me as your child. I cannot fathom your grace — your compassion for me. I am but a sinful person, but you treat me as yours, extending your hand to me with loving kindness. Strengthen my faith in your son Jesus. Help me to follow his way. May I hold tight to the salvation He offers. Lead me with your righteousness, your light. May your desires be my desires dear God.

His love is outside our human understanding, but He guides us and teaches us in His ways, and bestows upon us His Spirit. I love Him because He first loved me.
I am so grateful that he pursues us. Such a loving God. Blessings.
