You dear God are eternal. The works of your hand are perfect. You desire good things for us. Forgive my vain attempts to add or subtract from your will, your creation, your commandments. Help me to rest in you and your plan for my life. In you there is perfection. You are holy and pure. Fill me with your hope, your view of myself and my life. I praise you for your love and grace; for placing me here at this moment in history. May I be fruitful for you. Guide me dear God in your way. Without you I am lost.

AMEN, C. G. to every word! I too KNOW that without Jesus I would be hopelessly lost in despair. And yet I still make vain attempts at self-direction, self-satisfaction, self-justification and more. Woe is me! But wonderful is my God to forgive and guide and love me anyway!
