God is in the Details of Your Life

If you doubt God’s attention to detail consider the construction of the tabernacle. In Exodus 36-38, the Israelites constructed the tabernacle according to the instructions God gave to Moses. In Exodus 39, they make the garments to be worn by the priests. Exodus 39:3 tells us: “Then they hammered out gold sheets and cut them into threads to be woven in with the blue and the purple and the scarlet material, and the fine linen, the work of a skillful workman (NASB).”

They made thread out of gold to weave it into the material, “just as the LORD had commanded Moses (verse 5).” It is such a fine and delicate detail given by God that adds beauty to the garments worn by the priests. The same is true of your life.

God has designed every intricate detail of your life. He wants to weave the golden thread of His Word into your life. He has a plan for your life and you only need to follow His detailed instructions to build it. He wants you to serve him, to experience His peace and His joy. He wants to adorn you with His Spirit. He wants your life to be a thing of beauty, a witness to the world.

    1. Yes. It is amazing when you examine the detail of His creation from atoms to galaxies; from the beauty of a mountain valley to a sunset over the ocean — the master craftsman. Blessings.

  1. Ha. It’s neat that I was just studying the same thing. I wondered that God included such detail in His Word for generations afterward to read. God showed me that WE are His tabernacle, and He pays much attention to every detail of our lives, even knitting us together before we were born.

    1. Such an amazing thought that he knitted us together before we were born. Praise God for his love and grace. Thanks for the comment. Blessings.

  2. Excellent, brother. Such hopeful words! Your post brought to mind one of my favorite scriptures: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works-prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
    His best to you!

    1. Once again you’ve provided a good companion verse. God’s hands are on our life, shaping us into His image for our life. May we see the beauty he has placed within us. Blessings.
