#6 Prayer Journey — Gone

Today I reflect on the loss of my mom.

I am grateful to you dear Lord for life — her deep faith that laid a solid foundation in my life. I thank you for the time we had over the last few months as she slipped from this life into eternity. I praise you that your presence was evident in the final weeks — for the way you strengthened the family and brought comfort. Thank you for giving us a glimpse of eternity through her and the opportunity to ponder eternal life with you. I am grateful for the many years we had with her and that she is in your presence dear God. I am humbled by your love and grace. Thank you for each day of life you give us.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – Revelation 21:3-4 (NASB)

  1. Touching and blessed! Covering your family with continued prayers to lift up praise for a life well-lived. May the coming weeks and months allow for healing from your loss.

  2. I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, CG. We lost my mother ten years ago, so I know how it feels. 🙏May God cover you with His grace and peace during this time.
