The advent of Christmas, the birth of Jesus the Messiah, has happened. Now we near the advent of a another new year. May this New Year birth faith in Jesus Christ. May it nurture a deepening faith in Jesus. May we grow wiser in God’s wisdom and seek him over worldly answers. I pray God’s Word will dwell in us; convict us; guide us. As another year approaches, help us to prepare room in our heart for Jesus. Help us to embrace the new things he presents to us this year.
Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:18-19 (NASB)
