Can you imagine an ice cream shop that offers only one flavor? What would you do? Would you go inside? Then you learn that it is the best ice cream you’ll ever have — the most satisfying and fulfilling. So much so that you will never want another type again. Plus it won’t cost you anything — you just have to ask for it. But first you must enter, step up to the counter and request it.
You want to go into the shop, but people outside stop you. They tell you it’s not really free — that there must be a catch. Someone tells you no single thing could satisfy your cravings — no one understands your needs like you do. Others tell you the place down the street gives you so many more choices to fit your desires, including a variety of sprinkles, cones and toppings. But they don’t tell you there’s a cost to these choices.
What would you choose? Would you enter the shop with one flavor that costs you nothing? Would you step up to the counter and make your request known?

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. – John 14:6 (NASB)
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:5-6
A blessed analogy! Thanks for sharing your own creativity to bring life to the Gospel.

Thank you for reading! Blessings.
And once you tasted the amazing, one-of-a-kind ice cream, wouldn’t you want to tell others?!
Good point. Blessings.
You’ve made a great word picture here, CG. As Christ said in His Sermon on the Mount, “The pure in heart will see God.” One scoop of God’s life-redeeming grace is worth more than all the other flavors in the world! Christ’s parable of the Pearl of Great Price also comes to mind. The true riches found in a restored relationship with our Heavenly Father makes heaven’s one flavor worth it! God Bless.
Thanks for those two examples from scripture. God’s grace is amazing. This makes me think of Psalm 34:8: “O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” Blessings.
There’s another point. God’s one flavor tastes better than all the rest too!
Love this!
