Prayer Journey — Praise for Medical Professionals

Today I am grateful for doctors, nurses and so many others who bring healing to people. I am thankful for the doctor who operated on me last week and all the medical professionals who assisted with the surgery. I thank you dear Lord for giving them the ability to care for people and their ailments. I appreciate all the years of training they endured to be there for me and so many others every day. I am thankful for so many people behind the scenes who help keep hospitals running with what they need. Thank you for the knowledge you give people to develop vaccines and other medicines. I thank you dear God for the healing touch you provide through so many people. I ask for your hand on them each day as they care for people. Give them wisdom and encourage them as they make difficult choices. I pray this day too for the people being cared for — that they would feel your presence dear God; that they would know your peace as they struggle through pain and hurt. May they feel your touch dear Lord.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7 (NASB)

But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. – 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

  1. Praise God for your successful surgery!
And: That’s the fourth time today I’ve encountered that passage from Philippians 4! 😁
