Prayer Journey — Overwhelmed by Need

I feel the need. I see their distressed faces searching for answers. They long for you dear Lord, but know not where to find you or how to receive you. I see the walls many have built around their lives trying to keep you out dear Jesus. I want them to know you Jesus in a deep and personal way, but the walls seem in surmountable, the need overwhelming. They are sheep without a shepherd. Show me Lord your ways. Show me my role. Help me to stay on the path you set before me, not turning to the left or right with ministries of my own design and not yours. Strengthen the church to minister to those in need. May you send workers to reap your bountiful harvest.

Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. Then He *said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” – Matthew 9:36-38
