To stare into the eyes of the new born baby Jesus. To see his purity, his holiness, his righteousness; to peer into the eyes of God made man. Born in a stable, the humblest of beginnings. The simplicity of it all, yet the profound results of the salvation it brought to humanity. It is this redemption I contemplate this morning. To consider that God reached down into humanity to deliver us from our sin; that he sacrificed his only son to save us. It is a love that is difficult to comprehend. I am stirred deep within my soul at the thought of your love for me. I pray dear God that you will nurture a deepening love within me for you. Help me to embrace the salvation you brought to us with the birth of Jesus. Deepen my faith in you. May I have the enthusiasm of the shepherds who ran to see you, the determination of the magi who sought you. The humbleness to bow before you in adoration. The devotion to follow you as Mary and Joseph did. Today I offer praise to you dear God for the grace you extend to us.

Blessings to you too.❤️
The scripture you chose to conclude with is not a classic Christmas reference, but it fits.
I can’t help but think that it was the purity of Mary (and Joseph‘s) hearts that qualified them for their roles in God’s great kingdom work.
After all, God doesn’t need to do interviews when He has a job opening. He already knows who He has in mind.
His best to you, CG.
I’ve never read one of your posts that wasn’t helpful to me in some way.
So true. God knows the heart of people. He knows those who seek Him and His righteousness. Thanks for your comment and encouraging words. Blessings.
