New Birth, New Journey

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. – Luke 2:10-11 (NASB)

You’ve heard the good news. Its words penetrate to the core of your being. Yet you hesitate to go and see for yourself the truth in those words — hesitate to experience new birth; to witness for yourself the truth given to you.

So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. – Luke 2:16

Hurry. Run to this new birth, the “Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Kneel before the one born in a manger to save you. Join in the humble beginnings of faith in Jesus; the beginning of new life in you. Praise God for the Good News proclaimed to you, the opportunity to see Jesus.

  1. It is hard to contemplate new birth, to give up all the work we’ve put into our lives. And for what? The promise of the unknown. Thanks be to God Who quickens us and impels us to know Him. Yes, let us run to this new birth!
