What was it like to follow Jesus for years, then see him seized and crucified — to be in that moment between the crucifixtion and the resurrection. Hope seems elusive; salvation seems out of reach; faith seems empty. It is a life of darkness without the light of Christ.
This is life today without Christ. A life caught between a man named Jesus who died on the cross and the divine Jesus who overcame death in his resurrection to give us new life. Without faith in Jesus; without believing in his resurrection; without accepting him into our lives; we are destined to the grave without the hope of eternal life in the presence of God. Without Jesus in our life, we are caught between the darkness of the crucifixtion and the hope of the resurrection.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. – 1 Peter 1:3-5 (NASB)
The darkness of no hope 😕
This is beautiful and thought provoking! Love it! Praise Jesus that we are no longer trapped in darkness no matter what the world and our circumstances tell us!
