I start on the path in the woods
And I immediately feel God’s presence
The trees and undergrowth, His creation
Peaceful and soothing, “It is good.”
A place where humans rarely trod
It is as God intended creation to be
As I leave the woods the scars appear
Created by the fall of humanity in a garden long ago
The imprint of human creation on the land
Towering buildings fighting the ravages of time
On the edge of the woods I can clearly see
The forces of God’s design pressing against humanity
Until the new earth appears to heal the scar
To restore the earth to what it was meant to be

God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. – Genesis 1:31 (NASB)
Well said. We can look at creation and see how loving God is. I like Romans 1:20, there it says “For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable.”
Yes, I like that verse as well. We can see God’s hand on the world he created. His presence is evident. Thanks for the comment. Blessings.
Always enjoy your writings,
