Morning Praise — The Gift of Peace

It is a gift laying before me to receive, to take into my hands, to open. “Peace I give you,” Jesus said. Even though I hold it in my hands, it is difficult to receive it, to embrace it, to understand it. Yet I praise you dear Lord that you offer us this peace. I praise you that it is there for us to receive. I praise you that you are our protector, that in you we have nothing to fear. I give you praise today Lord Jesus for coming to us in the flesh to show us the way to your peace.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. – John 14:27 (NASB)

  1. Amen! Scripture tells us that His peace ‘transcends all understanding.’ Far too often we miss out on His peace because we are trying to understand it in our mind, instead of simply accepting this great gift into our hearts.
