There are times you may feel like you don’t have a role to play in your worship community or that what you do for the Lord is insignificant in the scheme of things. Be assured that every task given by God is important in His Kingdom no matter how small it may seem to you. It all plays a vital role in His work.
The book of Numbers gives us a good example of just how much God was involved in the smallest details of the tabernacle. He did not just prescribe how sacrifices should be conducted, but gave specific instructions for assigning certain people to carry certain pieces when it was moved:
As part of all their service at the tent, they are to carry the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts and bases, as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, ropes, all their equipment and everything related to their use. Assign to each man the specific things he is to carry (Numbers 4:31-3, NIV).”
Each piece of the tabernacle was important to its assembly and for carrying out sacrifices and worship to God. You may feel like a simple tent peg, but trust that your role in the Kingdom of God is vital to His work. Your work is critical to the body of Christ.
