God Has Prepared You for This Moment

This moment, this place where you are at, God has prepared you for it. He has given you skills, nurtured them, and has plans for you to use them. You may not see it now, but He will give you an opportunity to put them to use.

When the Israelites left Egypt, many of them left with refined skills in a variety of crafts such as metal work, weaving, and woodworking. Traveling in the wilderness, many of them must have thought that their skills would no longer be needed. But God had other plans.

Then Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every skillful person in whom the LORD had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him, to come to the work to perform it. (Exodus 36:2, NASB).”

God trained Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skillful person in Egypt years before this moment. He equipped them to build Him a sanctuary that would travel with them to the promised land. They played an important part in providing a means for God to travel in their midst.

God is preparing you for a moment where your skills and experience will serve Him. Maybe you have skills and years of experience that are currently not being put to use. Maybe you’re just beginning a new career, or are spending years learning a trade. Continue to seek God and His direction on how you can serve Him and His Kingdom. It may be as simple as talking to someone tomorrow about your faith, but know God has placed you there and equipped you with exactly what you need. Respond when he stirs your heart to work for His Kingdom.
