Exactly What We Need

When I think about the decades of my life and all the things I’ve faced, I consider how many times verses in Bible fit the circumstances. It reminds me that God knew what I needed before I needed it, that He has a plan for my life.

It’s amazing how applicable the Bible is to life today even though it was written thousands of years ago. It is a book for humanity, for you and I, if we take time to read it, understand it, and practice what it offers to us. It is a book for the ages. People continue to act like people no matter what the time period.

Hatred, hurt, grief, sorrow, injustice…they’ve been around since the fall of humanity. Fortunately we have the antidote in the Word of God. It is there to guide us through the trials of life and give us hope. God continues to pursue us with the hope of eternal life. We only need to accept His gift.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. – John 1:1-2, NASB

  1. Amen. Blessings Chris for continuing to share your faith and witness of God’s grace in your journey. When I retired from teaching and began devoting time to my writing journey, I could never have imagined how God brought light into my destiny as a writer. Most importantly, He strengthened my faith.
