In the 1990s I had the opportunity to attend a Promise Keepers event held in a stadium. I recall the overwhelming feeling of hearing tens of thousands of people singing praises to God. As powerful as that was, at the time I thought that this was only a mere glimpse of what heaven will be like.
That event came to mind when I read Revelation 5:11: “Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands (NASB).” It’s hard to grasp that an enormous stadium full of people singing praises to God is just a tiny glimpse of what is to come for believers in Jesus Christ.
Yet we do not have to wait for heaven to join in the chorus of praise to God. Today, at this moment, we can sing the very praises to God that John recorded in Revelation 5: “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing (12).” We can join millions of God’s faithful who will sing praises to God this day around the world. Take time today to focus on praising God and join the chorus.
And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever. Revelation 5:13, NASB
Amen! Blessings Chris for directing today’s moment with God, filled with His revealing of Heaven’s peace. Praise God.
Praise God! Blessings.
