The Real BFF

I was walking along the beach the other day and I saw a heart etched in the sand with the letters BFF inside it. I looked down the beach and saw a couple walking hand in hand and wondered if one of them had scrawled the heart and BFF—“Best Friends Forever.” Then I noticed the waves had washed away part of the heart.

That started me thinking about how everything on this earth is temporal. Everything we have in this world will one day pass away. The only true forever is found in Jesus. When we choose to follow Jesus, the relationship will truly last forever.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. – Hebrews 13:8, NIV

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. – 2 Peter 3:18
