During the next few weeks, each Monday I will be praying through the fruit of the Spirit, focusing on one word in Galatians 5:22-23. Today’s word is gentleness.
Your tenderness dear God is evident. You are filled with compassion, seeing our hurts, caring for our needs. You know us inside and out. The mighty God who created all things, bends down to look at us at eye level, coaxing us to share our struggles, our pain. His arms gently wrap around us, softly embracing us; holding us when we can’t hold on. Such a caring and loving God so full of grace. Thank you God for your gentleness with us.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23, NASB
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” – Matthew 11:29
Blessings Chris. Your testament takes me to a simple place where the quiet gentleness of the Lord is always present.
Thanks for sharing those thoughts. During some traumatic times in my life is when God’s gentleness has been most evident to me, soothing the pain. Blessings to you.
Amen JESUS SAVES!!
