The scales cling to their eyes dear Lord, hindering them from seeing you. The scales darken their vision, leaving them without your hope; holding onto false faith in philosophies created by people. They have fallen for an intricate web of lies that poses as the divine, unable to see your glory, your majesty, your strength. I pray dear Lord that the scales would fall from their eyes so that they would see you dear God. May they feed on your word and your truth so that they may know true living. May they humble themselves before you Lord and find refuge in you. May they know your peace.
And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized; and he took food and was strengthened. – Acts 9:18-19 (NASB)
Amen, Chris! The only way for the spiritually blind to see is for the LORD to take off the binders. We can drive ourselves crazy trying to reason with them or showing them proof. In the end the best we can do is pray for them. (Please don’t ask me how I learned this.)
Yes, we must maintain hope and the prayers. Thanks for the comment. Blessings.
Yours is a wonderful prayer to lift up to God for friends and family who are struggling. Thank you, and God Bless.
When I read Paul’s conversion on the Damascus Road, it gives me hope for those I know who reject Jesus. Thanks for the comment. Blessings.
