Prayer Journey — Yearning for Living Water for Others

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; – Psalm 42:1-2 (NASB)

The anger and rage have consumed him. He spews hatred at me. Yet deep in my soul I long for him to find peace in you dear Jesus. I yearn for him to thirst for you dear God — the living water that satisfies like none other. I want him to be free of the polluted waters of this world that only eat away at him — putrid water that brews hatred, jealousy and anger. I want to offer him a cup of this living water, but he knocks it out of my hand as he yells at me. Like so many people, he yearns for your living water dear God, but he listens to those who tell him your water is no good. He is so deceived. The very thing that can give him peace is what he rejects. I pray dear God that you will soften his heart and crack open his hardened heart. I pray he will know you in a deep and powerful way. I know only you can transform him. I know you can reach him even though he rejects me.

Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence. – Psalm 42:5

Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men Who devise evil things in their hearts; They continually stir up wars. – Psalm 140:1
