Have you ever had a day when it seemed nothing went as planned? By the end of the day you find yourself frustrated, annoyed that your day was upended. Rather than entrench in the frustration, it may be good to take a moment to reflect on why the day did not go according to your expectations. Perhaps God has a message for you, a reason things did not go your way.
Psalm 33:10-11 tells us, “The LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation.” God’s Word, His counsel, has stood the test of time, across the generations. It has outlasted global empires that have come and gone over the millennia — empires that once promoted a certain way of life. It has outlived cultural trends and advocates of trendy new philosophies. “The counsel of the Lord stands forever (11).”
The wisdom of the creator of heaven and earth — your creator— is available to you today. Take time today to reach out to Him. Listen to the Spirit of God as it guides you through life. Seek God when things don’t go as planned and see if He is trying to tell you something — perhaps trying to protect you from something. The frustration you feel may be God trying to get your attention.

Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. – Psalm 33:20 (NASB)
He did tell us, in this world you will have trouble.
So true. Blessings.
Yes, I believe troubles are God’s plan for us to look to Him – every time, even in the “little” things.
The counsel of the Lord stands forever. Amen! Joy comes in the morning. Troubles don’t last forever. Blessings!
We’ll said. Thanks for the comment. Have a blessed day.
