#4 Immersed in God’s Creation

From December 28 – January 6, there will be a countdown of the top ten most viewed posts in 2021. Today is #4, originally posted February 11, 2021.

Everything you see, touch, taste and hear originated with God. The fact you are here now, at this very moment is because of God. Your very being is a result of the hand of God, our creator.

John 1:3 tells us: “All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being (NASB).” But do we go through our day with that view? My answer would be no. To see God in all things is to accept his purposes, to lay down my desires and my will.

Why does that seem like such a tall order? Why is it so hard to be totally immersed in God’s presence in all things, in all created things on the planet? For me it is because at times I get too immersed in my life where I take credit for what I accomplish. But the truth is that everything I accomplish is because of God’s provision. Even the mind to think and create comes from God.

We can misuse what God gives us; abuse his created things; even poorly treat his ultimate creation humanity. Yet God can still redeem his creation for his purposes, despite evil intent. As Joseph discovered when his brothers sold him, God can turn evil intent into something good: “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive (Genesis 50:20).”

Take a moment today to immerse yourself in God’s creation. Set aside your own creation, your own desires, and offer Him thanksgiving.

    Yes, CG!❤️🙏

One of the verses I read this morning in my devotional was Psalm 37:7: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.”

Until you’ve heard from God, you haven’t truly heard.

    Blessings
