Prayer Journey — Weariness

How do I find rest dear Lord? The world weighs heavy on my shoulders. I am weary from worry about so many things. My striving to do the right thing tires me out. Yet you remind me that your yoke is light and not burdensome. You call to me, waving your hand to encourage me to sit at your feet and listen. You gently place your hand on me and say, “I will give you rest.” You tell me to learn from you. In your words dear Lord there is rest. In your example there is rest for my soul. When I replace my burdens, my worries, with your wisdom, there is rest for my soul. When I turn to you I find a gentle and humble heart, my burdens become light. Help me dear Lord to rest in you.

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30 (NASB)

    1. I was reminded in this passage that we have to act. Jesus tells us to “take My yoke upon you and learn from Me.” May we have open hearts to this. Blessings to you!
