The past is there, reminding me of things long gone; things that cannot be changed; things that will not return. Each memory raises emotion with it that can be felt. Help me dear Lord to look to the future with your hope and your eyes. Help me to see the new thing you are doing. Show me the path you have laid before me in the wildness. Help me to not get caught up in the undergrowth that hinders me from seeing your way. May I be refreshed by rivers you create in the deserts of my life. Help me to not be overcome by the heat and thirst. Let me be refreshed with your living water dear Lord.
