Prayer Journey — Mere Words

How can I describe you dear God? Such limited words I have to describe your grandeur, your deep love for us. Even if I mastered all the languages of this world, there would not be enough words to capture your infinite grace, your omnipotence. I cannot find the words to adequately express my appreciation, my gratefulness for your care; for your gentle hand upon my life. I am speechless as I try to understand why you saved me from my sin. I stand before you in awe, humbled by your presence. No human words can truly capture your essence. Yet you spoke the heavens and the earth into existence; you spoke to your people; you speak to us today. I humbly offer my praise to you dear God.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. – Genesis 1:1-3 (NASB)
