Can I be content with what you have given me; with the burdens I carry? At times I feel loaded down by life, overwhelmed by its struggles. Yet you know me. You created me. You know me inside and out. Your wisdom tells me discontent is a spiritual attack by the evil one. He is not even worthy to be mentioned by name. He only seeks to devour those faithful to you dear Lord. Discontent gnaws at me, yet it is powerless as long as I am focused on you dear God. Help me dear Jesus to walk with you this day, to over come discontent by relishing your blessings. Help me to be content with your provision. You know exactly what I need. Only you can satisfy. I praise you for your blessings. I thank you for being in my life dear Jesus. Without you I am lost in a world of discontent.
As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake. – Psalm 17:15 (NASB)
Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong. – 2 Corinthians 12:10
Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. – Phillipians 4:11
If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. – 1 Timothy 6:8
To Jesus we must lay our burden down. He can carry anything and everything if we only lay it at his feet. Peace to you and your family.
