There are days when I don’t feel worthy to serve you dear Lord; days I feel distant from you; days I wonder how you could possibly use me for your Kingdom. The times I disappointed you loom large in my mind. Yet your forgiveness is even larger than any of my doubts and fears. You see in me things I can’t see in myself. You know me even more than I know myself. You created me. You have a plan for me at this moment in history. You invite me to join you around the charcoal fire and share a meal. You tell me I am worthy despite my faults. You entrust me as your servant. You give me the honor of serving in your Kingdom.
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” – John 16:19 (NASB)
He *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus *said to him, “Tend My sheep.” – John 21:17

I just love how God reinstates us over and over and puts us back on the job. As the old hymn says, 🎶“ To the work! To the work! We are children of God.”🎶
Thank you for your blog ministry. You are one of the most consistent people I follow with your posting schedule and excellent content. Blessings. 🙏
Praise God for his love and grace! Thanks for following this blog and for your comments. God is good. Blessings.
A beautiful reflection in what may have been in the mind of Peter, yet at the same time it may be our thoughts and prayer to the Almighty. Thank you for this?
Oops…there is not meant to be a question mark there, that’s a slip of the keyboard. 🙄
No problem. 😊
Yes, that’s exactly what this prayer if about. I read John 21:1-17 and started thinking about how Peter must have felt and could relate it to my own feelings at times. Thanks for reading. Blessings.
