Prayer Journey —Resurrection Life

What does resurrection life look like? To leave behind the old way of life; to yield to new life in Christ. To rise above worldly desires and hope, to the hope of an empty tomb; a tomb that cannot contain death.

What does it look like to encounter the resurrected Jesus. To see him, to touch him, to know him. To feel the warmth of his presence, the stirring of his Spirit; a stirring deep inside like none other. A deep feeling of hope, of new life in Christ. To know he is alive and here with me at this moment. To know the peace only he can give. To be resurrected from darkness and despair to hope.

Help me dear Lord to know the stone is rolled away, to know I am no longer imprisoned in darkness. Help me to recognize you walking with me on this journey called life.

Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight. They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?” – Luke 24:31-32 (NASB)

  1. This is a beautiful post, CG. I’ve been listening to the Bethel song, “Ain’t No Grave,” and it has a line, “If You walked out of the grave, I’m a walkin’ too!” Holy Spirit has been talking to my heart about the beautiful truth that, just like death had no hold on Him, since I am alive in Him, no pattern of sin and death can hold me in spiritual death either! I have resurrected into glorious new life with HIm! Your post further brings this home to my heart 🙂
