What does it mean to walk with you dear God, to walk side by side on the path of life? To walk the cool path in the woods in the early morning light, showing me the trees and the leaves shimmering in the breeze; walking along a beach in the dark of night, directing my gaze upward to the heavens and the infinite stars above. To hear your gentle voice as you walk by my side, telling me that you created me in your image; telling me I have a purpose; telling me that I was chosen for this journey, this specific journey at this moment. By my side you encourage me, you pull me back when I want to go on my own and create my own path; you reassure me this is the right path even when the journey becomes too hard; even when the burdens weigh me down, crushing me so I can’t move. By my side you lift me to my feet, take my hand and lead me onward. Such grace and love you show me, by my side.

He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? – Micah 6:8 (NASB)
