Thanksgiving Thursday

“But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” – Romans 6:17-18 (NIV)

Thank you God for sending your son Jesus to bring us salvation; to free us from the chains of sin; to give us an eternal hope that we cannot obtain on our own. Praise God for this wonderful gift we only need to receive — to accept Christ Jesus into our heart. Take time today to give thanks to the Lord God for the blessings he has given you. If you are so inclined, make a comment on something you are thankful for this week.

  1. I am thankful for the faithfulness and love of our Lord. And for a little book of 100 days of thanksgiving my granddaughter and husband gave me for Christmas. It is a blessing I share with my Mom who has dementia. It starts her day with a thankful heart.
May you know God’s blessings for the coming year.

  2. We can obey from the heart because God Himself has replaced our hearts of stone with hearts of flesh; He has come to indwell us, guide us, succor us.
