Help me dear Jesus to set aside the past with all its hurt, pain, bruises and brokenness. Help me to embrace the new person you are creating within me. You are the way, the path to life. You are truth in a world full of deceit and deceived people. You are light in a world immersed in darkness. Help me to convey your way, your truth, your light to a world that is lost in darkness; a world that elevates its own form of truth over your truth dear God. Renew my mind in you dear Jesus. Help me to embrace the new self you are creating within me.
That, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind. – Ephesians 4:22-24
