The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. – John 1:5, NIV
Has there been a moment in your life where you’ve felt outnumbered or overwhelmed? It may have seemed to you that the darkness won. Yet John reminds us that darkness cannot overcome the light of Jesus Christ. He is victorious over the darkness of this world. He has conquered death and offers us new life in Him. Despite our troubles, be reassured that he has overcome this world (John 16:33). The darkness will not prevail.
