Everyday Trust

Everyday we place our faith in things without even giving it a second thought. If the weather forecast calls for rain, we grab an umbrella or raincoat. We press a button for an elevator expecting it to take us to our floor. We make travel plans having faith that the train, bus or plane will get us there. Do we have the same automatic faith in God?

To trust in God is to have faith he will do what His word tells us. It is to shape our life, our actions around His word. It means waiting on God even when we grow impatient with Him to change our circumstances. It is an act of faith when we seek to grow closer to God in prayer, worship and living.

Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. – Isaiah 40:31, NASB

  1. I love this: “It is an act of faith when we seek to grow closer to God in prayer, worship and living.”

What joy and peace when we can truly live by faith! When we act on that faith, God blesses.
