Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; – Psalm 23:4
Fear. It grips me tightly and pins me down. It immobilizes me, freezing me in place. I’m scared to advance, to even take one step forward. Darkness encircles me with unseen horrors. I fear for my life. Then I feel the warm touch of your hand tightly clasping mine. Your light dissipates the darkness. I am surrounded by your warmth, your love, your truth. The fear in me slips away as I look into your reassuring eyes. With you Jesus there is nothing to fear.
