Encroaching Light (Part 5)

When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, “Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us. So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger.” – Luke 2:15-16, NASB

You found your way and now before your eyes there lies a baby in a manger. Simple. Content. Approachable. Hope is laying there in front of you, welcoming you into His presence. All your burdens suddenly fade away as you feel the warmth of this new life, a savior wrapped in common clothes welcoming you into His midst. His presence warms you. His light surrounds you. Let His life transform you.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30, NASB
