The other day I saw the word “thankful” on a shelf at a friend’s house. What caught my attention was how the word extended beyond the shelf. Suddenly I was hit with the thought about thankfulness overflowing out of our life.
I’ve often heard the phrase, “I have too much on my plate right now,” referring to being overly busy. But seeing the word “thankful” extending beyond the shelf left me thinking, “Can we have too much thankfulness on our plate?”
No matter how overwhelming life is at the moment—no matter how full your plate is—there’s always room for thankfulness. Sometimes it may seem like too much to fit it in, but it’s okay if it extends beyond your plate. Perhaps it will overflow into someone else’s life.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:13, NIV
Thankfulness is pretty much the remedy for all ills. A grateful attitude is essential for Christian life.
Well said. Thanks for sharing. Blessings.

I love this concept of our thankfulness overflowing onto others. 😊
