No matter how much we try to plan our lives, our days, things don’t always go our way. No matter how hard we try to control things around us, we learn that we really are not in control. It’s a difficult thing to comprehend and accept.
God reminds us in Isaiah 55:8-9: “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,’ declares the LORD.” It is a struggle each day to align our thoughts with God’s thoughts, to avoid the distractions that attempt to divert us from God’s way.
We need to remember that God wants the best for us. His way is far superior to anything. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts (55:9, NASB).”
As I read this testament, I look back at my more youthful years. God’s higher thoughts weren’t “consistently” leading my next steps.
Same with me. Over the years, as my relationship with God grew deeper, I sought more and more of God’s wisdom in my life—His higher thoughts. Thanks for the comment. Blessings.
Thank you for this post! Wishing you blessings!
Praise God. Praying for God’s peace over you. Blessings.
God’s plan is the best plan.
May we daily follow His plan. Thanks for the comment. Blessings.
Yes. As our fellow Christian blogger Manette Kay says, “It’s life time of submission to God, over and over—day by day.” And sometimes moment by moment. Blessings, brother!
We’ll said, Manette! Thanks for sharing, Dave. Blessings.
