During the next few weeks, each Monday I will be praying through the fruit of the Spirit, focusing on one word in Galatians 5:22-23. Today’s word is kindness.
You are filled with kindness dear God. You desire to shower us with your kindness. You know our needs, our hurts, our suffering, and you long to embrace us with your kindness—if we let you. Give us ears to hear you and eyes to see you. Open our hearts to receive you with open arms. Heal any bitterness we may have toward others so that we may extend kindness to others. Thank you dear Jesus for the kindness you extend to us.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23, NASB
