Prayer Journey—Expectantly

Lord, help me to pray expectantly, knowing you can do the impossible. May I pray with your wisdom, with your vision for people with anticipation that you can do miracles. Forgive my shortsightedness, my impatience in wanting quick answers that don’t last instead of eternal answers that do last. Help me to pray with the mind of Christ, that your will be done.

The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. – 1 Corinthians 2:15-16 (NIV)

  1. Amen, Chris. I’ve been reading about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in my life (Major Ian W. Thomas). I whole-heartedly join you in this prayer!
