Prayer Journey—Who Are You?

Who are you Jesus that you can calm the storm? Who are you Jesus that you can heal the lame? Who are you Jesus that you can bring sight to the blind? Bring calm Lord Jesus to the storms in my life. Heal my brokenness that causes me to limp through life. Help me to see you clearly when I am blinded by life’s struggles. Show me your way Lord Jesus, your truth, your path to life.

And He continued by questioning them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.” – Mark 8:29 (NASB)

  1. Blessings Chris for sharing this prayer. In my own journey, there have been times when my faith seemed to be shrinking because of an ever-present challenge. Jesus reminds us of faith the size of a mustard seed in Matthew 17:20.

    1. Thanks for sharing that. In those difficult times I have learned to lean on the strength of the the Lord Jesus. It teaches me the limits of myself, and the limitless love and grace of God to lead me through. Blessings.

  2. This is a good prayer, Chris. How has He answered it for you? Can you specifically describe some times in your life that He has?

    1. Years ago I had a new supervisor who attacked me everyday. I prayed a lot about it over months. One day when I was in his office, he was literally screaming at me and I was silently praying for the Lord to intervene. To this day I’m not sure what I said, but he broke down crying. We had this deep conversation about how his dad died when he was a teenager and how it affected him. He asked me not to tell anyone in the office about it and I didn’t. After that he was nice to me. I could only think, “Who are you Jesus that you can calm a storm like that.”
