Prayer Journey — Calming Raging Waters

Waters rage, grasping at my feet. The current of the rip tide tries to pull me under. I flee from the torrent, along a dusty, dry path. I thirst, but there is no water to sooth my parched mouth. I cry out to you for relief dear Lord Jesus. You tell me to not want. Your gentle hand lays me down in the moist, green grass. You lead me to the edge of a calm, stream of living water. You refresh me with your peace, your compassionate look. You redirect me toward your path. Your ways are true dear God.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. – Psalm 23:1-3 (NASB)
