Shifting Sands

Endless waves upon the shore

Tales of ships and distant lore

Crashing waves on white-capped sea

A wandering future yet to be

Shifting sands of wind-blown grains

Dunes take shape as day wanes

Surf rages as sun sets low

Sky with yellow and orange glow

Darkness draws like a window shade

Starlight emerges as day does fade

Surf still pounds the loosened sand

God makes an impression with his hand
